How to Verify a Payment to your Payoneer Account - Submit; Email Correspondence with your Payer, Invioce, Business Affilaition
In April 2023, I received an email from Payoneer. I was asked to verify a payment from an online survey company to my Payoneer account. See the email below from Payoneer.
Email from Payoneer requesting more documents to verify payment
I was surprised because I have been using various payment platforms for more than two years, and I have never been told to verify any payment to my account before. The documents I was asked to provide are;
- Social media or Email correspondence document between the payer and me.
- Affiliation with your business webpage.
- Invoice of payment.
If you are a freelancer, then you have definitely had discussions with your customers. Any document showing this discussion would serve as an email correspondence document with the payer. All you have to do is submit this document and the other two documents to Payoneer in the formats PNG, PDF, JPG, and the other formats listed on their website.
But for me, it was quite different and was stressful, which is why I decided to write this article when the payment was eventually approved.
I was receiving payment from a survey website. There was no form of correspondence between the company and me; I did not receive any email confirming my withdrawal request; it could have served as an email correspondence. I did not create an invoice requesting payment.
The only document I could get at the moment was the screenshot of affiliation to the payer but I searched online for a solution couldn't find much useful information, I also asked the survey company about it but they couldn't help me out with the documents so I decided to things out for myself, the solution I came up with was to generate the documents that was possible to get then make complain to Payoneer support about the ones I couldn't get and it worked. I have listed the steps I took below.
If you don't have this document, just like me, or if you cannot provide this document due to laws in your country, many people complained online about this, then you should contact them and explain to them that you cannot provide the email correspondence that was demanded for some reason, explain your reasons, and provide screenshots when necessary. Please read the step below on contacting them, so you can contact them quickly and get your issues resolved.

I have listed the steps I took below.
Step 1: Submit Social-Media or Email Correspondence with Payer
Submit a screenshot of an email or social media correspondence. This means you should submit a screenshot of any text or a scan of a document, correspondence between the payer and you, but this screenshot of text must contain your name, the customer's name, and the amount to be transferred through Payoneer.

Step 2: Submit a screenshot of the Affiliation to the Payer
Take a screenshot of your webpage or social media profile page, freelance marketplace profile page, Amazon, Shopify store page which one of these you use you're getting paid from, and send to their verification center, for my case I sent a screenshot of my Profile page on the survey company but make sure your profile details are visible; your full name, your username, etc, my screenshot was accepted.
Step 3: Submit an Invoice Document
The invoice I created at the onlineinvoices website
An Invoice is a document given to the buyer by the seller to collect payment. It includes the cost of the products purchased or services rendered to the buyer.
Submit an invoice document if you created one before concerning the transaction. If you have not created any, don't panic; you can quickly create an invoice at Onlineinvoices or search the internet for more options. Make sure to include your name, the name of the payer or company, the amount, the date of the requested payment, and services rendered. Send the invoice you created to the Payoneer verification center; PDF format is okay.
Step 4: Submit your Documents to Payoneer
After getting the documents, you have to submit them to the Payoneer verification center. Follow the steps below to submit it.
- Sign in to your Payoneer account.
- Go to settings and then to verification center.
- You will immediately see a notification where you should submit each document.
Step 5: Contact Customer Support
You might want to contact customer support, telling them you have just submitted the requested documents to the verification center. If some of the documents you were asked to provide were not possible to get, then you should contact customer support; otherwise, your document will be rejected.
Contacting support on Payoneer is not very easy because most of the support tickets you create are handled by automatic software, which likely sends you an automatic reply.
To get to a human who would handle the case correctly, you should use one or more of the methods below. For my case, I used more than one of these methods below.
- Send customer support a message, go to Payoneer Customer support page, click on Receive Payment, click on Receiving Accounts, click on what is the status of my payments (Receiving Accounts), there you can read through if you have the time and click on Contact Us, leave it at Send message, put in your details, make a statement about your issues, attach the files you submitted at the verification center and click on Submit. Hold on, that's not all, you will receive an automated reply to your email which provides possible answers to your questions or issues, scroll down to the bottom of the email, a text there says that you should reply to the email if the automatic reply does not answer your questions, when you reply, the issue is sent to a human who will handle the case properly.
- Call customer support, go to Payoneer Customer support page, click on Receive Payment, click on Receiving Accounts, click on What is the status of my (Receiving Accounts), there you can read through if you have the time, and click on Contact Us, you will be given the options to send them a message, chat with them, or call them. Select call them, and you will be asked to log in. If you are not logged in, you will see Payoneer customer phone numbers for various regions in the world. Give them a call and explain your issues to them.
- You can get to the customer service help page directly with this link: Customer support. On that webpage, you can send customer support a message, chat with support, or call support.
- Make your complaint or ask questions on the Payoneer community page. Make sure you express your dissatisfaction or anger, but make sure not to abuse or insult the company or its policies.
- Contact Payoneer through Social media, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Be sure to read through the message to ensure it's not an automatic reply. If it's an automatic reply, then you should continue to send your complaints; it will be sent to a human eventually.
- Make a complaint to them through BBB.org, ensuring you state your email address as it will be used to identify your account and to communicate with you.
- Make a complaint to them through Resolver, ensuring you state your email address as it will be used to identify your account and to communicate with you.
Email confirming payment to my Payoneer account after verification
Conclusion
I was able to verify Payment to my Payoneer account without submitting email correspondence with the payer; I only submitted the invoice and affiliation with the payer. Payoneer approved the payment because there was no correspondence between me and the payer and I was able to communicate this information to them properly, so contacting payoneer customer service is very important, if you have any other issue preventing you from submiting the requested document, you should contact Payoneer support so they can help you resolve it, I have listed above the ways I have learnt to contact Payoneer customer support.
